Dorian Gray

Synthesis
Extraordinarily handsome young man with finely curved scarlet lips, frank blue eyes, crisp gold hair. Has a finely chiselled nostrils, a chiselled throat, and a plastic throat. His face has all the candour of youth and youth's passionate purity. He looks like a young Greek martyr, with a rose-red youth and rose-white boyhood. His hair is rebellious and curly, tangled with gilded threads. His eyes are bright and can deepen into amethyst. He has a wonderfully beautiful face, with a look that makes one trust him at once. He is described as being made out of ivory and rose-leaves, like a Narcissus. Later, his face remains unchanged, with the same bloom of boyhood and unstained purity of youth, even as he ages.
the full-length portrait of a young man of extraordinary personal beauty
this young Adonis, who looks as if he was made out of ivory and rose-leaves
he was certainly wonderfully handsome, with his finely curved scarlet lips, his frank blue eyes, his crisp gold hair
All the candour of youth was there, as well as all youth's passionate purity
His finely chiselled nostrils quivered, and some hidden nerve shook the scarlet of his lips and left them trembling
the lad, swinging round on the music-stool in a wilful, petulant manner
with his rose-red youth and your rose-white boyhood
the leaves had tossed his rebellious curls and tangled all their gilded threads
His eyes deepened into amethyst, and across them came a mist of tears
You have a wonderfully beautiful face, Mr. Gray
the grace of his figure broken and deformed
the gold steal from his hair
the scarlet would pass away from his lips
Dorian Gray lifted his golden head from the pillow, and with pallid face and tear-stained eyes
He was bareheaded, and the leaves had tossed his rebellious curls and tangled all their gilded threads
the lad's young fiery-coloured life
He was flushed with excitement and pleasure, and looked extraordinarily handsome
Dorian Gray, with his beautiful eyes, looked down at her, and his chiselled lips curled in exquisite disdain
the face of the man he had sought to kill had all the bloom of boyhood, all the unstained purity of youth
He seemed little more than a lad of twenty summers
the infinite grace of that wonderful youth that seemed never to leave him
his charming boyish smile
the fair young face that laughed back at him from the polished glass
He had always the look of one who had kept himself unspotted from the world
the purity of his face
He was withered, wrinkled, and loathsome of visage
a splendid portrait of their master as they had last seen him, in all the wonder of his exquisite youth and beauty
Lying on the floor was a dead man, in evening dress, with a knife in his heart. He was withered, wrinkled, and loathsome of visage.

A girl hardly seventeen years of age, with a little, flowerlike face, a small Greek head with plaited coils of dark-brown hair, eyes that are violet wells of passion, lips that are like the petals of a rose. She has a shy grace and startled eyes, something of the fawn in her. Her voice is very low at first with deep mellow notes, then like a flute or distant hautboy, then with wild passion of violins. She has a childlike look, winsome fanciful ways, and shy tremulous grace. Her body sways like a plant in water, the curves of her throat are like a white lily, her hands seem made of cool ivory.
imagine a girl, hardly seventeen years of age, with a little, flowerlike face, a small Greek head with plaited coils of dark-brown hair, eyes that were violet wells of passion, lips that were like the petals of a rose
She was the loveliest thing I had ever seen in my life
There was something of the fawn in her shy grace and startled eyes
A faint blush, like the shadow of a rose in a mirror of silver, came to her cheeks
Her body swayed, while she danced, as a plant sways in the water
The curves of her throat were the curves of a white lily
Her hands seemed to be made of cool ivory

The atmosphere is heavy with the scent of roses.
The studio was filled with the rich odour of roses, and when the light summer wind stirred amidst the trees of the garden, there came through the open door the heavy scent of the lilac, or the more delicate perfume of the pink-flowering thorn.
From the corner of the divan of Persian saddle-bags on which he was lying, smoking, as was his custom, innumerable cigarettes, Lord Henry Wotton could just catch the gleam of the honey-sweet and honey-coloured blossoms of a laburnum...
In the centre of the room, clamped to an upright easel, stood the full-length portrait of a young man of extraordinary personal beauty...
The painter had been busy mixing his colours and getting his brushes ready.
Lord Henry flung himself into a large wicker arm-chair and watched him.

Two green-and-white butterflies fluttered past them, and in the pear-tree at the corner of the garden a thrush began to sing.
